Fix Pomelli Access Errors & Common Issues

Issue #1: "Pomelli is Not Available in Your Region"

Why This Happens

Pomelli was initially launched in November 2025 in 4 countries (US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand), but expanded to 170+ countries and territories in March 2026. If you're still experiencing access issues, it may be due to other factors.

Solution 1: Check Official Availability

1. Visit labs.google.com
2. Look for the Pomelli project card
3. If you see "Join Waitlist" → you can sign up for future access
4. If you don't see Pomelli at all → not available in your region yet

Solution 2: Use a Google Workspace Account

Some users report that Google Workspace (business) accounts get priority access:

• If you have a work/business Google account, try signing in with that
• Educational accounts (@edu) also sometimes have access

Solution 3: Join the Waitlist (Patient Approach)

If you're willing to wait:

1. Join the official waitlist at labs.google.com/pomelli
2. You'll get an email when it's available (usually 2-6 weeks)

Issue #2: "Error Loading Pomelli" or Blank Screen

Why This Happens

• Browser compatibility issues
• Ad blockers interfering
• Outdated browser version
• Cached data causing conflicts

Solution 1: Clear Cache and Cookies

For Chrome:

1. Press Ctrl+Shift+Delete (Cmd+Shift+Delete on Mac)
2. Select "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files"
3. Time range: "Last 7 days" or "All time"
4. Click "Clear data"
5. Restart browser and try again

For Firefox/Safari:

Issue #4: Generation Fails or Gets Stuck

• Server overload (Pomelli is popular!)

If generation hangs:

Solution 2: Try Off-Peak Hours

Pomelli is slower during peak times (9am-5pm EST):

• Try early morning or evening
• Weekends are usually less congested

Solution 3: Refresh and Retry

1. If stuck for more than 60 seconds, refresh the page
2. Your project should auto-save
3. Try generating again with the same or simplified prompt

Issue #5: Poor Quality Results or AI "Doesn't Understand"

But it's a common frustration! The issue is usually prompt quality.

• Look in your browser's download folder

1. If PNG fails, try JPG
2. If both fail, try SVG (smaller file)
